While I'm not a huge FPS fan, I enjoy games in that style when the concept is enough to carry it. I love the Metroid Prime trilogy, Bioshock, and still have a place in my heart for Halo for its campaign.

At the very least, there isn't the disappointment present here that has come with each game announcement and subsequent cancelation that's been plaguing the Mega Man franchise for years. Instead, we get a glimpse of this and are left to say, "Oh. Wow, that would've been cool," or, "Yikes, I'm glad that this ended up in the can."

I understand that Capcom isn't completely to blame when it comes to the cancelation of all of these games, but it's quite hard not to shift everything onto them. What have we gotten? Mega Man xover, and SFxMega Man (that Capcom didn't even make). Mega Man 9 and 10 looked to be a step in the right direction; many fans thought that Capcom's return to making games heralded a new push for the character and games that we loved. How could we have not? The 25th anniversary was coming up, and things seemed on the up.

But then plug after plug was pulled. I don't even want to know what's going on with the company, but if the last number of years are any indicator, Capcom needs to keep on with that "heads-down approach." We're tired of being teased.

At least we finally got action figures.

CoinOp
